Save Time & Money Meal Planning for Free

I've talked to you before about Food on the Table and meal planning but today I thought I would log in before work and see what type of meals I could get planned in a jiffy.  As you can see below I've got 3 meals planned and Food on the Table let me know that 7 of my items are on sale at one of the 3 grocery stores I selected on my Free account. I got lucky that all 3 are at the same store (Fry's), so if I don't have those items I know I will save roughly $10.71 without any coupons. Not too bad, but I most likely have those items as the main ingredient on 2 of the recipes was chicken and I still have plenty of chicken breasts in the freezer. If you're in AZ, check out Pro's Ranch for chicken breasts right now, they are $0.89 lb.

Food on the Table is an easy meal planning service that is based on sales at local grocery stores. With Food on the Table, users will be able to: – find thousands of easy, healthy recipes – save money by knowing the items that are on sale – simplify your shopping experience with a well organized grocery list.  It’s free if you do 3 meals of less a week, for more than 3 meals a week and more recipes, the member can upgrade to the premium version for a low introductory rate of $5/month.

DIY Homemade Butterfinger Bars

diy-homemade-butterfinger

We are fast approaching the time of year when candy goes on sale for the Halloween season and that means really cheap candy corn. You’re probably thinking I’ve lost it because I said we’re making DIY Homemade Butterfinger bars not buying candy corn right. Well, believe it or not, candy corn is the main ingredient in these yummy bars.

So if you’re a Butterfingers fan, stock up on candy corn when they go on sale for free or really cheap at CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens as the candy buying season draws near.

If you don’t celebrate Halloween don’t worry you can still make these for Harvest Festivals or think long term and snag candy or cookie molds in the off season for Easter and Christmas!

So without further hesitation I highly recommend you visit Plain Chicken for her Homemade Butterfinger Bars with only 3 ingredients! Word of caution, they aren’t crispy like the real thing but the taste is spot on!
