Purex Has Cookie Scented Laundry Detergent to Help your Clothes Smell Yummy

As many of you know I'm a Purex Insider and I just got the scoop on their latest new scent, Cookie Scent! Oh my gosh, can you imagine how scrumptious your clothes will smell. I mean seriously do you know what this means? No more spraying "baking" scented sprays in the house to get that baked good smell. Just wash your clothes and tada, cookie scent galore! I'm really excited about this one because let's be honest here, we all want our clothes to smell like fresh baked cookies right? You know you want this, admit it!

I've already tried this new scent and let me tell you, everyone is loving it! There is nothing greater than standing in line at the store and people asking about why I smell like a freshly baked cookie. So be sure to keep your eyes posted for the chocolate bottle of Purex Cookie Scent laundry detergent at a store near you.

Word of caution: Regardless of how much it smells like cookies, you are NOT to consume or bake with laundy detergent.

Product Review: Nivea SunKissed Beautiful Legs

I was really excited about this product when I first picked it up at CVS especially after seeing it work so well on Lessie. I have used this twice so far and already have enough for my review.

Day 1: I was chatting with Lessie on msn while I applied it the first time and I could already see it starting to change. This should've have been a sign of what was to come but I didn't heed what I was thinking. I woke up the next day and had a nice light golden tan to my legs which were a little on the pale side to begin with. See I told myself it's working out just fine other than I went too thin on left leg and had a slight streak of discoloration.

Day2: I lather it on my legs thinking it will be a success since day 1 left me golden and satisfied. I applied it later in the day and went on about my business then went to bed. I woke up dazed as always without my caffeine and took a shower. You would think I would notice it then but I was tired. Well halfway through the day it hit me, I was ready to be cast as the queen of the Oompah Loompah's, I was orange and in a panic! That's right, second application left me as a Willy Wonka live in primed to do a silly song and dance with Johnny Depp as Wonka himself.

I give it a D since it didn't work for me but worked great for Lessie.

So if you still want to try this product I highly suggest doing a small test area first as it obviously works for some and not others.  :(

Product Review: Xtra Laundry Soap

Okay recently I got curious about all the different laundry soaps since CVS has and Fry’s recently had laundry soap really cheap and sometimes I can’t justify being a loyal Tide girl. I mean seriously Tide is the most expensive and they only give out $.50 coupons, although I did recently find a $2 off Tide coupon in my Bounty sheets box but still. So anyways, I went to the message boards to ask for some opinions on Xtra laundry soap. There wasn’t a huge response and I guess because like me most never gave it a chance. Well I decided to buy and thought if it doesn’t work out that it could be used for something in due time.

Here is my review of Xtra:

  • Price: A
    I mean come on $1.50 w/no coupon isn’t a bad deal.
  • Scent: C
It smelled alright before hand but if you’re looking for long lasting scent it left a faint clean smell but nothing to brag about unless you prefer it that way. Even after working in a hot environment it still smelled slightly clean where as my Tide wouldn’t smell so fresh after working.
  • Clean: B
I have to say it cleaned those untreated deodorant marks completely, something Tide never did if untreated. I’m rather impressed.

Overall I would give Xtra a B- rating as I was impressed with it compared to my Tide. I do wish they had a better variety of scents, I purchased Spring Sunshine as it was the only one in store that appealed to my nose. So if you’re ever on a tight budget and want a cheap and efficient laundry soap I suggest you pick up a bottle Xtra the next time you see it on sale for when times are tight.

Product Review: Roasted Garlic Potatoes

Do you remember a couple of weeks when Fry's had those pouches of Betty Crocker potatoes on sale for FREE? Well I just got around to trying some last night with our KFC Original Recipe bucket we got after getting our FREE KFC lunch.

I really like these potatoes but I wish I would've tasted them before smothering butter all on the top, they so don't need butter. If you are not of fan of garlic you probably won't like these as they are definitely garlicy tasting. If you ever have a chance to get them for free I highly suggest you try them out and see what you think. Besides, free is free and worth a taste in my book.
