Thrifty Thursday: FREE Or Cheap Foam Soap Refill

I’m really excited to announce that our nifty post was selected to be featured on Tip Junkie back in March! This was previously on my other blog that I closed but I kept getting traffic hits for it so I moved it over here where it belongs.

Okay in order to do this you need a foam dispenser like Dawn Direct Foam, I’m sure any kind will do but for this post we will go with Dawn. Next you will also need any type of soap like regular Dawn dish liquid or your fave brand you hopefully got FREE.

Here are the steps to do this once your Foam soap runs out:

1. Add regular dish liquid to the foam bottle. If you use Dawn Direct Foam fill it to where the fragrance name is. {It will be too sudsy otherwise.}
2. Add warm-hot water, leaving about an inch from the top.
3. Screw on lid and gently turn bottle upside down once or twice to mix. DO NOT SHAKE!

There you have it! You should now have a free or really cheap way of refilling your Foam soap bottles. Don’t forget to get more Foam type bottles if you see them free or cheap. You never know when that pesky pump will stop working. Better safe than sorry.

I wish I could remember where I learned about this but I thought it would be a great first item for Thrifty Thursday.
